NILGPT Origin Story: The market's first-ever NIL Information Chatbot

In the ever-evolving landscape of the NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) industry, CIMS.AI's journey is reflected in the development of NILI, the market's first-ever NIL information Chatbot. NILI is the face or character of our innovative product, NIL-GPT. What began as a simple conversation among our team members has transformed into a compelling character with a mission to serve the larger pool of student-athletes across all universities and conferences.
NILI's story commenced with the idea of a ‘coach-advisor’ character, embodying the spirit of athleticism, designed to assist brand marketers in connecting with student-athletes to collaborate on social media marketing campaigns. At this early stage, NILI was envisioned as a knowledgeable, informative, athletic character who stood ready to answer any query. However, as our journey evolved to focus on very specific tools that would among other things ensure that student-athlete inclusivity would drive the matchmaking process, our character design changed.
This commitment to inclusivity led to a transformation and We moved away from traditional coach-specific visual traits and began to focus on some of the more classic values associated with athletes, such as, competitive spirit, skill mastery, leadership, and teamwork and collaboration.
NILI also needed to be welcoming and approachable such that she embodied the user experience design of our product. We updated the sportswear aesthetic to reflect both our company's main color theme and the vibrant energy of the student-athletes we aim to empower.
NILI’s transition from an idea to a flat 2D sketch to a fully realized 3D model is also indicative of our ongoing conversations with student-athletes, compliance officers, and NIL educators. Again, this transformation reflects NILI in a dynamic running pose, symbolizing the active mindset required to pursue one's mission and goals within this new and ever-changing industry.
NIL-GPT and NILI's evolution encapsulates our commitment to developing advanced, user-friendly tools that cater to the needs of all student-athletes across all sports, as well as, those stakeholders that seek to ensure that student-athletes enrich their collegiate experience through collaborations with local and regional brands.
